It's The Way That I Am!
Duffy is a little turtle who lives in the forest with many animal friends. He wonders "why" he's so slow, when all the other animals seem to be able to get where they're going so much faster than he can. There's a picnic tomorrow down by the Big Lake, and Duffy decides to ask all his animal friends, The bear, the bird, the monkey, the great lion, and the fish, if they could teach him a faster way to get the the picnic on time! Duffy feels that moving so slow, will surely cause him to be late! Since the animals all move in different ways, each one explains to Duffy why he cannot move like they can. Well, Duffy decides to approach his problem in a different way!
Another story by Ms. Windy that shows us that "different is very good too!"
You Should See Under Here!
This is a children's picture book story, with a very "timely" subject. The story is about a fish named Hubert O'Henry who lives under the sea, which is full of "people- trash and pollution." The fish all have a meeting, and decide it's time for alarm! - and they must talk to the people - - Who do the most harm! Hubert swims thru the story with different friends, talking to all of us about the trash in the water, and the problems it causes for all the sea animals (they bump into things, can't see the sun - plants have stopped growing - things are all slippery and icky) and he also lets us know about the problems caused by other pollution to the air, and the waters rising, etc. It's a wonderful, kid-friendly story that in the end, tells children what they can do to help (taking trash away from beaches, recycling cans and bottles, talking to their parents and neighbors and friends, writing to their leaders) etc. so that in a delightful and cheerful way, he " starts a conversation" with the children about how important our waters are to all of us.

This is a delightful picture book. It's the story of Benjamin Blue, who can do everything little boys normally do, but "when it comes right down to it, he just can't tie his shoes." One day outside his house, he spies a large mouse by his rainspout, who had been rummaging through the trash cans, and has Ben's old shoes (which had been thrown out) on his feet, but they're tied!! What a delightful story as Ben follows directions from the mouse, who teaches him how to tie his shoes!!!

Dottz is a little girl frog, who sees a back pack laying near the pond where children are playing- waiting for the school bus. She hops inside the backpack to "explore" and when the bus comes, the backpack is picked up and taken onto the bus, and to school, where she spends the day, again finding all the differences in the world (what we wear, eat, play, learn etc.) and she Loves all the differences!! At the end of the school day, she has made many new friends, with the children, and they agree to "pick her up for vacation" when school ends for the summer. (Picturebook in Rhyme) ages 4-7 +yrs.

A Frog Named Flop Who Just Couldn't Hop
"A FROG NAMED FLOP who just couldn't hop..." is a story (in rhyme) of a little frog who feels that being different is the reason he cannot hop like all the other frogs in his pond. The other frogs become his friend, and insist on encouraging and teaching him how to hop. When Flop finally learns to hop, the others not only LOVE the way he hops, but his differences are what make him hop and do tricks they have never seen! In the end, Flop ends up encouraging and teaching all the other frogs in the pond, to hop the way he does, so they can do tricks too! This teaches them that "different is very good too!"
